Default Netrunner

Whenever I looked at Netrunner previously it was usually a question of nice try shame about the application. Then we got the Maui relationship leading to forum topics such as "Now I'm just completely confused" which not only sums up this relationship but Linux choices in general.

With the latest 19.01 (screenshot) they seemed to have got it whacked. I've spent quite a bit of time with it and apart from a folder customization crash with Dolphin, everything else works perfectly and the new 3D dark theme sets this KDE apart from the legions of flat boring alternatives.

Is now on my recommended list.

Maybe you should start something like Jason Evangelho is doing with Elementary OS (your favorite distro ha!):

Don't know why he chose this one to start up with.
Never really enjoyed this distro and reading up on a few recent user comments on Distrowatch aren't too shiny.

He had to start somewhere ay!

Didn't know MC was that old!

Arch might be solid, but it's for geeks only.

Same could be applied to straight Debian but there are plenty of 'based on' distros that simplify the basic processes.

Manjaro is undoubtedly the best Arch base especially with its own proliferation of desktops. I have one system with Manjaro KDE and Openbox dual booted. Both were simplicity to install and are a delight to use.

Young blood still run over his veins. I just like to annoy him
