18.04 is a mess. Maybe the bugs will get ironed out over time but that doesn't help those who have adopted it now. Everything using 18.04 as a base is more unstable than what users probably "upgraded" from as you too have found out.

Debian is a far better base. Check out SolidX if you prefer Xfce.

Alternatively Q4OS Scorpion is a prime example of KDE Plasma 5 in minimal format and also includes the too much ignored Trinity desktop as an alternative DE, allowing users to switch between the two.

For a full blown version of KDE5 that is stable and faster than you might think, look at Neptune.

Lastly, for blinding speed and stability look at BunsenLabs with OpenBox and tint2. This is Arch made easy with an automated post install script to get you up and running.

Thanks bro; but i think the issue is Linux has no support for Nvidia card drivers Legacy 304 for 18.04 on any distro,only for 16.04? i tryed other versions and all do same in 18.04 nvidia card ,on Xubuntu 16.04 you have a choice of 2 nvidea drivers - legacy 304, and X.org X server Nouveau display,on 18.04 version you only have NVIDIA Corporation C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430] (rev a2),as you see no 304 legacy drivers available; shame

This is actually one of the many bugs in 18.04

https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s...4/+bug/1763648

Personally, I would still move away from an Ubuntu base and try something else for at least a year until they get 18.04 sorted. The 304 driver is still available for Debian.

Nvidia Drivers installed on Xubuntu 18.04 Beaver are;

rank@frank-ET1331G:~$ lspci -k | grep -A5 VGA
00:0d.0 VGA compatible controller: NVIDIA Corporation C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430] (rev a2)
Subsystem: Acer Incorporated [ALI] C61 [GeForce 6150SE nForce 430]
Kernel driver in use: nouveau
Kernel modules: nvidiafb, nouveau
00:18.0 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Family 10h Processor HyperTransport Configuration
00:18.1 Host bridge: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Family 10h Processor Address Map
frank@frank-ET1331G:~$

but i think after i installed;

sudo apt install build-essential libc6:i386
