Default When Best is not so Good

IMO it is so called ‘best’ articles like this that do a massive disservice to Linux especially for potential Windows movers.

https://www.techradar.com/news/best-linux-distro

Since the relative ease of Luna for instance, Elementary has descended into a pre-stunted user restricted bugfest but hey, let’s stick it at number 1 coz it looks good. No mention here that pretty much every other distro can be made to look even better with just a few minutes work.

The inclusion of SUSE with a positive tag for being in the top 5 at Distrowatch is almost as bad. Let’s not forget how popular Pablo Escobar was at one point and I think you’ll get my drift.

To have any editorial credibility at all with articles like this you simply have to include stuff that ‘works’ as intended with a more broader appeal such as MX, Manjaro, Linux Lite and Zorin.

Depends on individual needs of course but for general home use I would not recommend anything featured here.
