Default MX-17 is worth the drive

Dabbing around with Solus, Ubuntu Budgie, MX-17 and the recent LinuxMint XFCE, i keep coming back to MX-17. Why?

Well...
- had too many issues with Solus;
- UBudgie - was nice but without a good dedicated forum like MX-17s, it feels impersonal;
- LMint XFCE - was nice too but not as smooth as MX-17 (at least, not on my HP laptop);
- So, you guessed my pref. for MX-17 (looks, smooth running, much less noisy than the rest (especially Windows) and the forum support system (like here) is just fabulous!)

There's one thing that annoys me a bit...

The conky clocks collection is just gorgeous!
But, with dual monitors, it's not easy to set them to another monitor (other than the default).

As one user elsewhere pointed out, MX-17 ranks with top 3 in last 7 days.
Just check out the drop-down menu to the right at Distrowatch.

Firmly established in the top five now and deservedly so. I have one dual booted machine with MX-17.1 complete with Compiz, Emerald and a bouncy Cairo Dock and it runs flawlessly.

IMO in terms of error free, unrestricted distros with only minor frustrations the only other two that deserve to be in the top 10 are Mint and Manjaro. All the others, no matter how 'popular' or how teeth gnashingly aggressive their forum supporter are, are the reason so many Windows users try Linux and give up.
