Smile Manjaro KDE 17.0 - a pleasant adventure

Sometimes when things go wrong, it's for a reason.

After several attempts at installing Manjaro XFCE 17.0, i finally opted to give their KDE a spin.
It flawlessly installed on first try!
It is much fastest at booting than other versions or distros i've tried to far and even with latest Kernel, which is quite stable (for now) and fast like before.

What a pleasant surprise and adventure!

Do like Manjaro's forum look and attitude from support too!

Btw, running Vivaldi on it - if you want flash, you must do 'yaourt -S pepper-flash' (without sudo).

A happy KDE newbie (never thought i'd say that)!

Must admit to having temporarily "lost" the option to load Windows 10 at boot.
A little bit of panic, but not too much.
Quick search on the net does the trick.

Working on SSD with 8Gs of RAM probably help to make KDE run smoothly too.

Thanks!

Most KDE distros are heavier on your computers' resources and this, i did notice.
Latest Manjaro version (maybe more recent ones too) has really been an improvement (boot and regular usage)!

Just thought i'd share in case someone has experienced same kind of "resentment" with regards to KDE.
