This is beta software so you won't get much accurate feedback until after it goes final.
I used the former KDE version for a while which I believe is now abandoned. It was great initially and then suffered the same fate as many other rolling releases in that it became unstable after an update so I dumped it. Dedoimedo was not impressed either. http://www.dedoimedo.com/computers/m...nux-6-kde.html

This is difficult because the reasons for liking a particular distro are very individual and so many DE's to choose from too.
I think Mint is favorite for Cinnamon and MX-16 or Chalet OS for Xfce. I don't like KDE Plasma at all but there are still plenty of excellent KDE 4 versions in development such as PCLinux OS. Zorin and Deepin are both good and very different and more different still is Q4 OS. These would be my picks if I was recommending a diverse selection for someone to try although Deepin does not have a live version.

Cinnamon scores because it looks a bit more smart out of the box but IMO Xfce scores on speed and customization. I'm very happy with MX-16 so I don't see much point in trying Mint Xfce. This article looks at both albeit the last versions but also some useful comments about the Xfce desktop. http://www.ocsmag.com/2016/12/12/bes...istro-of-2016/
