Default Linux on Windows 10

Sorry if I posted this in the wrong place.

I like to install (dual boot) A Linux os on mij desktop with Windows 10
Wich version is preferred and do I need to take special precautions.

you can install any Linux version, as a dual boot,
but this tutorial is also for LinuxMint:

it's written for win-8x but does apply to win-10 as well.
