After reading numerous reviews my advice is not to bother.

The latest version 16.10 is based on the LTS version 16.04.1 with some security and maintenance updates. When running either version on my PC with an Ethernet connection, I'll need to run the following command in the terminal to install the r8168 network driver which shall replace the in-kernel driver r8169, otherwise the connection won't work on my PC.
sudo apt-get install r8168-dkms What I liked is that it now allows moving the launcher from the left side to the bottom of the screen. Personally I hate to park the launcher on the left side as the horizontal launcher has more space to accommodate more shortcuts without the need to scroll through. At least now it gives an option to do otherwise than the default after six long years of requests from users. |
