Default Superbird Browser

Recently started using this and liking it.

Another Chrome variant.

"Superbird offers all the benefits you already know about Google Chrome, but with maximum data security since Superbird doesn't send data to Google!"

Also available for Windows and Mac (whatever they are )

Not another one again, based on Chromium!

Really, all these Chrome/Chromium variants are getting too much now. It's getting repetitive and boring, because all these variants look the same, work the same. Use the same extensions. Where has originality gone? It's like all want to get aboard the same bandwagon.

Haven't tried this one yet, but if it works well, then good. But, will be interesting to see what different it offers from others. MC, what did you find different between this and other Chrome variants?

SRWare Iron too lists the same difference from Google as does Superbird Browser.

Not a lot but then with my level of technical expertise, that is not surprising.

I did notice it ended up in user/share instead of etc. but it works so that's all I'm really interested in.

It synced by bookmarks but not my extensions so I had to load those in manually.

This is also a new Linux install so I can't really say if it's faster or slower than what I was running before.

I also noted the ancient version of Chrome this is based on plus their Facebook page is definitely growing hair so this looks like yet another dead or dying project.

Angry

Tried Superbird and didn't like it. Uninstalled it from Control Panel but it is still running in task manager and just can't stop it. Grrrrrr......
Edit: a reboot fixed it but anything that does that to my PC gives me a baaaaad feeling.
