Default Seeking the best torrent download site and the best torrent downloader

Assistance, please.

I am running LMDE on a 1 year old computer with a quad core Athlon Chip, 12 Gigs of RAM and a 2 TiB HDD.

What I need:Suggestions for the SIMPLEST torrent download program and dvd burning program to download movies and burn them to DVD.

Although I'm becoming more conversant in Linuxese, I'm still struggling through some rough spots and need some help here. Specifically, I'd like to download the torrent for the 1951 movie "Angels In The Outfield" and burn it to a dvd

While I have Windows 8.1 available, I'd like to use this as a learning opportunity to increase my knowledge of LMDE.

Thanks,
tlcmd

I guess a lot of this depends on personal preference but I use Linux all the time for these processes and would recommend Transmission and Xfburn although I watch all my movies direct from my hard drive so it is only other Linux ISO images that I burn to disks.

Thanks for the input, but right now I have downloaded the 1951 Angels In The Outfield as a DVDRip.JanetLeigh_jonzee.mp4 (in my download folder as a 1.6 Gig.

Where do I go from here using what program to burn it to a dvd?

Thanks,

If the intention is to play the movie via a DVD player and not a PC, then someone else will need to advise because I'm not sure how the format will tie up for this as I've never done it. Otherwise, the gui for Xfburn is pretty explanatory once you open it.

tlcmd, if you want to burn the MP4 to a DVD that will play in a DVD player, you need an DVD Authoring program. In Windows, I use DVDStyler for this. It is cross-platform so you can look for it in the Linux repository.

Joe, Thanks. I did install it from the Linux repository, but apparently there is a problem with the download as it aborts repeatedly. Will try another download site.

The simplest DVD burning program is cdrecord (or growisofs, whatever fits you best). "Simple", of course, mainly in terms of resource waste. There's no GUI, it works perfectly.
