Thanks guys i see Good points here; but fare to say Linux is 100 per% better then win for old Pcs no dout about it,this Dell Demention 4500 had Win Xp sp3 and it Quit running
it booted up and when it got to the Desktop just Froze,i tried to get support from windows but nothing at all, i say what crap is that to a supposed to be the best Ops on the eyes of the win fans, and paid software?
But it's not the first Pc of mind that craped out with winxp, i had an old sony vaio Pentium M that had also Xp installed i had recovery disks and all but ended up with no support
so i installed Xubuntu and i was happy again, long live Linux and Ded to windows they're a bunch of Money Hangry succers.

Of that being said and taking it out of my Chest. Now let's talk of what matters.

Today after Taking out the Nvidia Card and Puting in an ATI 9600, i also was able to install Xubuntu 12.04Lts and it runns like a champ even better that Debian wheezy7.

Sounds like a good result.

If you are enjoying Xfce, do also check out these two which come preinstalled with tons of extras including more Conky themes than you probably knew existed and a one-click option to change them.

The Voyager home page is in French so please use Google to find it and then translate.

There are many support options for Windows XP so I'm surprised that you couldn't find any of them.

That maybe, but when i had my Sony Vaio Pentium M, what i bought back in 2005 and it costed me a bit of money and it came with 2 recovery cds, and i was used to get support from Microsoft
when i needed, to reinstall the system and i had to do that a bunch of times, but now when i needed microsoft was not there, and i was not about to get software from some shady site, so Linux,Xubuntu came along and my Sony vaio lives again and better then ever, it's 5 times faster now than it was with XP. so it's the same with Dell 6500 Pentium 4
i still have a Toshiba 355 Laptop with Win Vista, and it's a pain in neck, just put up with it cause i bought a Music sheet composer Finale that only works with win,and i'm not about to throught out the music program yet , i'm waiting for it to give trouble then mabe Ubuntu12.04 is waiting.
By the way Linux has a might fine Music sheet program and is free,so there i'm set.
I realy don't need Win for nothing,i'm yet to discover any stuff that i can do in win that i can't do with Linux!
