Default Printing using Win7 as Client and Mint 13 (Mate) as host

I've been searching various forums trying to print from my Win 7 laptop (client) using my Mint OS desktop as the (host) via my router. I have ensured to share my printer and checked it via Samba. My laptop does not detect the Mint (host) no mater what I try. I can print from my laptop and share folders from my laptop when the host is running Win XP but no joy when using Mint.

Any ideas...

Oh well, I'm finding out Win7 has introduced its own little brand of chaos when it comes to Samba.

Sorry can't help with this one as don't use a printer. We're a paperless household (except for the smallest room of course )

It looks as though the Dedoimedo dude had a similar issue and wrote a work around if anyone is interested.
