Do you enjoys trying out different Linux distros? Do you have dozens of live CDs lying around?
If you can answer yes to both questions you may want to take a look at this article on Wikipedia. Comparison of X Window System desktop environments I like trying a couple of new Distro's a week and have now been using a USB stick instead of CDs when possible. This article may help give you a peak at what you can expect. |

Thanks for these links. I changed my setup at the weekend when my wide screen packed up and I was forced to use a standard monitor. Mageia looks by far the best for my eyes at this resolution.
