About gap between tabs and top:

opera:config # UserPrefs |ChromeIntegrationDragAreaMaximized

Set to 0 . No gap after that.

Av_Crazy 21. Feb 2012 05:28 PM

Had already done that but the qt is why is there a gap in the first place !

How is this aesthetics ?! out of all the variety of browser this is done only by opera

Aesthetics - A guiding principle in matters of artistic beauty and taste.

The world would be a very dull place if everything with the same purpose or function looked identical!

I agree to the second sentence but still dont get how is that 1 pixel aesthetics

I have to agree with AV_Crazy here. It doesn't bother me so much visually, but as an ease of use issue. When switching tabs my mouse will end up at the very top of the screen when selecting 90% of the time, and with Opera, clicking in this space will do absolutely nothing as I'm clicking in 'dead space'.

Sope 21. Feb 2012 11:15 PM

Ah, I understand now :o

I've never really noticed it myself, but now you mention it I can see where some people could find it an irritation. Maybe i've just got used to it without noticing, or maybe all the gaming I do has trained me to get the cursor precisely on the target for that all important head shot! :D

Anyway, looks like you found a fix.

If opearting systems weren't any different, we wouldn't have Linux, Mac OSX etc.
If I made a direct comparison b/w O.S's and Browsers, it would be like this

Mac OSX - Safari
Linux - Opera
Win XP - IE
Win 7 - Firefox, Chrome

As Sope, said we should learn to appreciate the aesthetics that's being provided. Even though Linux is a very good O.S, hardly any people even try to use it, or appreciate it. Hardly any people wish to try something different, once they do, they'll know that, they made the right step.

i dont mind linux, but like with the mobile OS... app support drives the community, and linux just doesn't have the large application base as windows... even if all of them are duplicates of each other lol (aesthetics?)
