Yea, they have improved their pages. Some time ago, the release notes could not be found... and had to Google search for them. But now, they have changed things around... the web pages look good, the release notes are better presented, and quite clear, and can be easily found. Good changes .

Most add-ons are now compatible with new versions of Firefox by default
This comes as a welcome relief to both developers and users. :-)

OK, I think I found the "faulty" add-on, which is causing the forward button on Firefox to show all the time.

Its FlashGot. Today, I was installing Firefox fresh. Keeping the forward button problem in mind, I installed add-ons one by one, going for the add-ons first, which I thought might not be the cause. Added WOT, DownThemAll without problems. But, when I installed FlashGot, and restarted, the forward button was there, and shows all the time.

I think the reason for it is that FlashGot makes use of an icon to capture videos from internet, and when it detects a video, it makes that icon visible, in the same area as the forward-backward buttons.

Well, its an important add-on, so I need it installed. Anyways, the forward button showing is not much bother, since in the previous versions till now, it always showed .. but atleast I solved the mystery.

Thanks for the find Anupam. But sometimes you shouldn't see things which are meant to be hidden.

There's an addon called secure login which has a key like icon near the forward button. Move it elsewhere and voila! the forward button disappears. Simple...but I had to break my head over this........

Why do this? same as you...want to solve the mystery......Now I have to find a proper place for that addon's icon......

Curiosity (nearly) killed this cat.....
