Default Cookies - One Bite Too Many?

In response to ongoing concerns about the use of cookies, the EU at least is looking to regulate their use.

How effective this might be and when the "teeth" necessary for enforcing it might arrive are still open to debate. Overall though a good move to strengthen online privacy.

It's about time. When i go to the shop they aren't allowed to place a tracking device in my carrier bag to see where i go next, so why should websites be able to?

Very true. If they're that interested they can follow you by satellite. Not much to see with you though as you only go to the pub and back

They don't need to place a tracking device in your bag as you already have one in your pocket, a mobile phone!

If you ever visit London, they also have the Oyster card to track your travel activities; not that I am paranoid or anything but just because they are not talking about you, doesn't mean they are not planning against you!!
