Those are definitely IE favoured tests handpicked by Microsoft. Don't believe in the propaganda.

Seems like all browsers are pretty similar in speed these days. They may vary noticeably page by page but not as an average over many browsing sessions. In my experience even chrome and opera, which used to be far and away the fastest, are really about the same as everything else nowadays. I think that finding a UI most adapted to your preference and the right productivity extensions will save you infinitely more time than a few rendering milliseconds here and there. IE9 is still extremely mediocre in this respect for my use.

As for security, it's going to be an ongoing issue for all popular browsers, IE9 included. I'd definitely recommend using sandboxie/active AV over having the current most secure browser. Using protection is always going to be way more effective than having an above average immune system anyway.

IE9 (RC) IS no longer exist. but i would definitely say that , latest version of Internet Explorer 9 is a powerful and fastest web browser. It is secured, light, and available free to download. Its advance features will change the way you use the Web. The upgraded version of internet explorer is more effective in terms of performance and privacy protection. IE9 offers new graphic capabilities and improved performance with hardware-accelerated text, video, and graphics that can help websites perform as fast as installed applications on Windows-based computers. I’d suggest, download web browser from official website and check out all its features.

Thanks
