The latest beta is looking pretty good.

Would have switched to it completely if not for the addons.

Which addons are you using that the beta doesn't yet support?

Actually, I had a few problems with Better privacy and noscript...seems to be okay now!

It's a bit sad that they've removed the status bar..(yeah, I know that you can make it come back with an addon).

Glad to hear that's working for you, but i know what you mean about the status bar.
Looking forward to the full release now, although i might just give this current beta a whirl later on today....

Status bar is the small strip at the bottom of the Firefox browser, which can be seen in Firefox 3. Its where you can see the full URL, when you hover your mouse above a link. Many extensions also put their icons over there.

I was disappointed when Mozilla decided to do away with the status bar in Firefox 4. It was very important for me, because it helped in looking at the full URL, which is really necessary.

I think in Firefox 4, they had started to show the URL in the location bar. But, with beta 12 release, the URL is now shown once again at the bottom of the window. Although, there is no status bar, I think, but this change is a good one, and will be appreciated by many. Like me, many people were not happy with the disappearance of the status bar altogether.

I saw the full release notes, and changes in Firefox 4 just today, along with the ones of beta 12. Very impressive list. The release notes are here for the beta 12 :

There is now news that Chrome is working on design to even do away with the tab bar, and Firefox seems to be working on the same design too. I personally had hoped to see Firefox in an original look, when talks about Firefox 4 had begun. I was disappointed to see Firefox have a similar look to Chrome. Firefox seems to be following Chrome features like the look, and now rapid development cycle. It seems to be losing its originality because of the competition.

I do not want to see a Chrome clone... I want to see Firefox with originality. I hope they will do so sometime in future.
