Very well put Sope could not agree more with what you have said. Like I have already voiced I think it took a lot of courage from the Opera team to go with extensions, especially as over the past years they had indicated this would not happen. Shows to me the Opera browser is bigger and more important to them all in the team than any possible egos that are involved in the development of this beautiful browser. I am certain this will only be a very small part of the future of this browser and they will continue as they have in the past to build into it as standard many more great ideas and features.

Opera 11 Release Candidate 1

Looks like they're getting close to a final release. I'm using it now and it's very stable, no problems with it. Just be aware of this if you want to try it;

"Note: As this is a Release Candidate, the installation folder will default to the latest stable installation folder."

It will install over any stable version of Opera you may be using, 10 etc. You can change the folder from the options button before accepting the changes. It will also set Opera to default if you don't un check the box on the install, so just watch out for that.

Seems you can't keep up with this thing, a new release almost daily at the moment. Hope they're not rushing it, it's happened in the past, but so far so good.

I'll say one thing for these people, they don't mess about, considering the changes they've had to make for the extensions etc. I have a sneaky feeling they're trying to get it finished before the holidays, just hope they don't mess up by rushing it. I've upgraded to each version as they've been released, hammered the tabs, tried various extensions and to be really honest I can't fault their work so far. Opera 11 is a really nice browser, and I haven't yet experienced the old problem of pages not rendering properly - at least not on the sites I use.

WOT is now available for Opera 11 - you can download it here.

Works perfect, site ratings, blocks bad sites. Button installs at top right of the browser.

WOT blog entry here.

*edit* - tried it with Bing, Ixquick, Yahoo search, Dogpile and Ask. Works great.

Thanks deya for the WOT link; I am very impressed with Opera 11. :-)

I have Lastpass and WOT extensions, just a shame Keyscrambler is not available. :-(
