I see.
I only tried it out in a VM (Peppermint Ice / Opera 11 beta ) to see if it was a universal problem and initially it looked like it wasn't working for me either, but a quick play with the settings and it started up .

One very cool thing i forgot to mention about Opera, is how
it prevents you from closing it, when you close the last tab.
Maybe it's minor, but if you work with Chrome too, you understand
how practical this feature is. Opera does not allow Speed Dial to
close when it's the only tab left. Very cool!!
I tried a couple of extensions in Chrome, like KeepLastTab, Last
Tab Standing, Keep Last Two Tabs, etc but none of them works like
Opera

Interesting, maybe it just doesn't like Peppermint One for some reason. Anyway, I'll wait and try again a bit further down the road when it's a bit more complete and stable

Opera 11 Beta spell check working fine in Ubuntu 10.10 so appears to be just a Peppermint One issue, well for me at any rate

Thumbs up Opera extension

Just wanted to share this Opera 11 Beta extension with you all. Personally I think it is very good considering it is in its infancy.

Tried Tab Vault but it keeps crashing the browser, looking at the install page I see others are having the same problem so maybe a fix will come soon. The built in tab stacker works well enough though, similar sort of thing, although even that can be a bit irritating .. like trying to push two magnets together. The tabs just kind of slip around and won't stack sometimes. Early days though.

Still no WOT. Seems they're having problems fixing parts of the API, although they say they're working on it, but it would be nice to have it in Opera and once it becomes available [and works] then that's me sorted.

I like the built in safe address field feature as well.

That description is spot on.
It's a nice idea but just a little bit fiddly in use. Maybe it gets easier to use with practice.

New version of tab vault just been released. The problems I see mentioned about the new tab stacking in Opera 11 might be down to how you are using it. I find you only have to drag the tab a tiny bit just so it is touching another tab let go and hey presto it is stacked, you do not have to get it exact and overlap the other tab completely for this to work. takes very little practice. Hope this helps.

my main browser because of its speed and appearance mostly (and Vivek, there's no way FF is as fast as Chrome and Opera).
The lack of addons doesn't really bother me because all that i need is a

lol..saw my name so dropped in again to comment
ff4 is not stable yet but it is fast
r u talking about the difference in speed in milliseconds ?
coz on my pc i dont find much difference in loading pages...only the start up time of browsers are different

and for me addons are very much needed ... coz i have more than 25 addons :P

Didn't try ff 4, but whenever i tried FF in the past it always seemed to me that it's slower even than internet explorer, that's why i never insisted on him.
I have Chrome 8 stable and Opera 10.63 portable, and i can say that Opera is actually faster than Chrome on my pc. Downloaded FF 3.6 portable to see how it compares with the other two, and it is noticably slower even without any addon. But when version 4 becomes stable i'll try it again
