I use Firefox 3.6.12. Always with the latest updated version.

I use a small number of add-ons. I don't like keeping a lot, feels crowded.

AdBlockPlus
DownThemAll
FEBE
FlashGot
KeyScrambler
Multi Links
Sothink Web Video Downloader
Xmarks
WOT

These are all must haves for me. I added Multi Links recently, and it is proving to be a time saver. The middle button of my mouse has stopped working for clicks, and so, Multi Links is a boon for opening tabs faster. Only thing is that it opens tabs to the farther corner, and not immediate right. I find it a drawback.

I used to use an add-on for tab management, and it was excellent. But, with Firefox 3.0, it ceased to update. I don't remember its name. Did not come across any good add-on for tabs after that. Had a look at Tabberwocky recommended by Vivek, and I will have a look at it later. I looked at Tab Mix Plus, and that is not what I need.
