AdBlock for Chrome now "really" blocks ads

The latest version of Google Chrome extension called AdBlock is now able to not only hide ads, but also prevent them from downloading at all.

I remember vasa1 wanted exactly this feature in ad blockers. He will be one happy guy now, if he is using Chrome, that is :D.

Thanks for remembering :)! I've managed to get Privoxy going and it has the advantage of being able to work across browsers. So, for instance, if I run both Chrome and Firefox, I don't have to use an adblocking extension for either and one blocking list will work for both.

The disadvantage to Privoxy is that it is a bit on the nerdy side but that's not a serious problem!

Ah, its good that you got a program which serves your purpose :). I have heard about Privoxy, but I didn't get around to using it. I will keep it in mind, thanks.
