Yes, I noticed that too. I am glad they have kept this feature in version 4 too. Chrome based browsers squeeze the tabs so much that its not visible which page it is. That's one of the features I don't like about Chrome.

Me too, that's why I am not a big fan of toolbars. They really reduce the workspace.

Downloaded the latest beta today and indeed the extension I use have all been updated. The only Theme so far available from what I read is "Walnut" which ought to suit me but it doesn't My favorite is "Dark Revisted" which hopefully can be updated too.

FF4 seems to appear differently when I run it on XP. The Firefox Orange Button is located in the 2nd line sharing with the tab bar. While in Win7, it takes the first line on its own.

Overall the speed of FF4 is much faster!

I'm sure I'm not alone in liking bits of several browsers and wishing they could be combined together into one

My overall preference would be QtWeb if only it had a spell check. It's plenty fast enough and I just like the way it renders pages. I also like the bookmarks sidebar because you can keep it really narrow to reduce page space loss.

A major benefit for me too is that when checking the new posts on the main site every time I leave a page the number disappears. With other browsers (unless MC is missing something obvious) the numbers remain and if I'm called away for something else I can't always remember where I left off. (This is only relevant for the other mods here but thought I'd post it anyway)

One minor thing I don't like about Firefox4 is the progress indicator. Looks like a pulsating doughnut

Just the opposite. I personally prefer the new progress indicator in FF4 than the one used in FF3. The new indicator is better in that it takes one round to complete loading a page, whereas the old one keeps turning and turning... and I don't know how many rounds it has to take to complete loading a page.

There's mention that some features are available in Win 7 and Vista but not in XP.

(This new design shows up only in Windows 7 and Vista, not in Windows 2000 or XP. It's also not in the Mac OS X and Linux betas, although Mozilla says it will be at some time in the future.)

Interesting to see if this continues in the final version.

I do appreciate the pie effect (much better than a progress bar), but not the background "throbbing" which comes with it. Somehow just reminds me of those attention seeking ads which also pulsate in your face. It's only really an annoyance with slow or stuck pages though and overall the FF4 experience, for me at any rate, is very good.
