Default Open home page in new tab in Firefox?

I want to customise Firefox 3.6.3 so that when I open a new tab, it shows my home page (stored locally) rather than a blank page.

Any ideas? I couldn't see such a provision in Tools > Options but I seem to remember that such a thing was possible in a much earlier version of Firefox.

You can open a new tab with your homepage by clicking the home button with the middle mouse button, if you have one. If you don't have a middle mouse button there's an add-on that will do it for you here

Thanks for the reply! No middle mouse button. I have a (mouse-less) Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop. Actually, I was hoping for something to tweak in about:config rather than an add-on. I'm trying to keep them at a minimum (AdBlock Plus, WOT, NoScript).

Configuring keyboard shortcuts

Firefox does not provide any method of customizing keyboard shortcuts.

In addition to the add-on mentioned by deya, this add-on does much the same.
