So it does, although in fact it actually redirects you to opera:config

Have a look in Opera preferences, make sure the appropriate boxes are filled in under the "forms" tab and box checked under the "advanced>history" tab. Also under mail accounts edit> "outgoing" tab you can choose to remember "add contacts from sent messages".

Indeed the about:config tip was for firefox. about:config works in Opera which has its won set of configs but it neither shows a warning nor do we have to set items in bold, we have checkboxes instead.
@Av_crazy
Whatever what you have filled in the form is not automatically remembered in Opera.
But you can enter whatever common information you fill in the form filler.
If those options aren't enough and there's other commonly used text that you need to save use Notes.* You can copy any text in Opera to Notes and insert them on any text-field.
@Sope
I believe av_crazy is referring to the email text fields in web pages itself and not about the mail client. This issue should get resolved using the form filler itself if he enters his email id there.

*See O menu> Notes to discover what notes is. You can right click any selected text and copy to note.
