This error might be related with KeyScrambler. Did you install KeyScrambler on LunaScape? I installed KeyScrambler for Epic Browser and got this same error. You should uninstall KeyScrambler. KeyScrambler free only supports IE, Firefox, and Flock.

Thanks Anupam for your speedy reply, I have disabled rather than uninstalled KeyScrambler for now.

The fact that I cannot get WOT to work and I now have no anti-keylogger protection is a huge minus for me as I surf the Internet a lot and also bank online.

One of the best things about the browser is the ability to view websites using the 3 different engines. I also like the fact that my bookmarks open in horizontal blocks as opposed to the never ending vertical one I have in FF.

When it isn't busy freezing (has not done this since I disabled KS) I really like the speed and overall snappiness compared to FF.

If I could get WOT and KS to work it could just possibly be the finest browser thus far in the recent history of the www IMHO!

@torresmagnifico ... Does WOT not work at all, not even in your search results?

I still get the greyed out toolbar icon at start up sometimes (not always) so what I do is wait for Luna to load my homepage (which is set to Google) then click to change the engine to WebKit, then Trident, then back to Gecko and the toolbar icon then goes green and works without a problem. It works every time. You should get the WOT ratings in Google search results even if the icon is greyed out though, and WOT does block bad sites.

Try this; From the Gecko drop down menu select 'Extended Mode (Gecko)', then from tools go to options and clear recent history .. cache, cookies, etc. and see if that helps. I can't fathom out why but it works for me, keeping the cache cleaned seems to be the answer, though I may be wrong. Aslo, when I use Extended Gecko Mode WOT works perfect, no greying out, just like in FF.

I've not tried KeyScrambler with Luna, I don't use many add ons so I can't help you there, sorry. I did install LinkExtend and that worked perfect but it's anothe toolbar so I took it off, but it did display the site rankings etc.

WOT won't display site ratings in the Luna tv search (the default homepage) it has to be Google .. or Bing, Dogpile, Ixquick .. it works in all of those.

My WOT icon stays green all the time now too. I drew a circle on my screen with a Day Glo marker pen

Okay, it's palying up for me now. The WOT toolbar icon is green, all the search ratings are displaying but if I click a link to a red rated site the icon remains green, but WOT does block the site. The toolbar icon stays green no matter which colour link I click, yellow or red. So it would now appear that WOT does work, but not fully, it's the toolbar icon that doesn't work, although it was working for me before.

I've just tested it on a few search engines, here are the ones that display the WOT ratings; Google, Ixquick, Yahoo, Ask, Bing, Dogpile, AOL. Try those and see if you have any luck. I've seen your post on the Luna support forum so let's hope they get back to you with an answer, maybe I'll register and do the same.

MC, is WOT working ok in extended gecko mode for you? It works just as it should for me, changes colour, everything. I've registered and posted a question on the Luna forum in torres' thread so see if they respond. I'll stick with it anyway, and I'm using Norton DNS so if one doesn't block a site the other should .. I hope.

Yes it is, working fine in extended mode. I too am still with the Norton DNS beta service which I like better than Comodo's now. I did also try installing Norton SafeWeb Lite. Lunascape accepted it, and Norton saw nothing wrong during the install process but although the toolbar appeared in the settings menu, nothing was displayed, just a blank bar. This was with the default and custom skins.

One thing I discovered this morning after my failure with Norton yesterday is that the Finjan Secure Browsing service plugin works with Lunascape, although sometimes I found it necessary to refresh the page for the search results to load.

It's not the quickest tool to use but this really isn't an issue for me. I'd rather be safe than fast

As an add-on to my post above, there's a good in depth appraisal of FSB here:

.... and for anyone wanting some scandal, try this link too!

I had tried Finjan long back for sometime. I gave up on it though. The web site says it gives the ratings on the base of realtime code analysis of the webpage. MC, does it slows the browsing? How long does it take to show the ratings, for example, on a Google search page?
