Default Two blockers for Chrome ?

G'day Jojoyee,
I installed "AdThwart" to my Google Chrome yesterday,.. I must admit that I don't know much about it and so far everything seems to be working OK although I have no indication that it is indeed working.
I noticed from one of your posts that you mentioned that "AdBlock" was the most popular blocker for Chrome. I have a question that may sound a little dumb but is it possible to install Adblock in addition to AdThwart,.. I'm probably believing that more is better but maybe it isn't possible for two separate blockers to work together due to conflict issues.

regards

I'm using AdBlock and have not tried AdThwart so can't tell how exactly it will do or if it conflicts with another. Maybe others who've an insight can share it with us.

Thanks Jojoyee,.. I'll continue with AdThwart and give it a fair trial. I've done some tinkering with it using some of the good info available on their site forums and I'm pleased to report that it is indeed working just fine.
Haven't tried it with all sites though and if it doesn't work out, I'll give AdBlock a try.

regards

Chrome Extensions I use
(in no particular order, following up on comment in Tech Treats)

- AutoPagerize for Chrome
A browser Extension for auto loading paginated web pages. AutoPagerize use in many web site, and provide efficiently web browsing.

- WOT
Web of Trust is a safe browsing tool, which warns you about risky sites that cheat customers, deliver malware or send spam.

- Ghostery
Protect your privacy. See who's tracking your web browsing with Ghostery.

- Feedly
Feedly organizes your favorite sources in a magazine-like start page.

- LastPass
LastPass is a free password manager and form filler. LastPass is also available for Firefox, Internet Explorer and Safari (Mac).

- Visual Tabs
If you enjoy the effect of cover-flow style in navigation, this is the choice for your tabs in Chrome.

- Readability Redux
"Readability is a simple tool that makes reading on the Web more enjoyable by removing the clutter around what you're reading."

- AdThwart
Blocks ads using the Firefox AdBlock Plus filter engine
Choose from a number of filter lists, including EasyList, or subscribe to any other AdBlock Plus filter list. AdThwart updates by itself: you can just install and forget it.

- AdSweep
AdSweep is a small addon that aims to hide advertising from the web pages you visit like Adblock. In technical terms, AdSweep is a user javascript that defines CSS rules based on the web site you are visiting to hide elements of the page that show advertisements.

- RightLink
Right click for open link in new background tab (for touchpads etc.)

- Copy Without Formatting
Provides various ways (customizable keyboard shortcut, floating button, or auto-copy) to copy your selection WITHOUT formatting.

- S*xy Undo Close Tab
Undo your closed tabs (cleaner version) + new features

- FastestChrome
* Endless Pages automatically loads the next page just before you reach the end so you don't have to click "Next" or wait
* Look up definitions instantly by highlighting a word
* Better Google: shows you relevant results from real-time and shopping search engines such as OneRiot and Amazon
* Search more conveniently: select text then click on a search engine to search
* Automatically turns text URLs into links
* Adds related articles to Wikipedia

- Pinboard.in clean up
Pinboard.in is a great minimalist bookmarking service - sort of like delicious minus the social and sharing aspect.

- Close all Tabs
Closes all open tabs in the current window and opens the homepage (kind of restart Chrome / actual window)

As an aside, Chrome extensions do not work while you are in the extension gallery.
