NewsGuard is free on Edge browser, courtesy of Microsoft;

https://www.newsguardtech.com/edge/

Also free for other browsers but limited 'til July 1st, you also have to sign up - but not for Edge;

Quite useful. Works well.

If you go into edge://flags/ you can enable 'Force Dark Mode for Web Contents' and get the same effect the Dark Reader extension gives you. Also when you click the drop down menu to enable it you'll notice there are six other inversion settings so you can set your preference. Select the Dark Theme in settings for the full browser effect. You don't always need extensions/add-ons, sometimes the browser has the capability to do more than people realise, with a bit of tweaking.

Also worth noting from the link that Panzer posted about the Dark Reader extension;

"The developer says similar attacks taken place and affected Chrome, Edge, and Firefox users" ...

Edge updated to Version 83.0.478.37;

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dep...3047837-may-21

.... quite a large changelog for v83, also the introduction of progressive rollouts;

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dep...essive-rollout

"Starting with Microsoft Edge 83 release, we will perform gradual rollouts of major updates to Microsoft Edge Stable channel over the span of a few days. This progressive rollout allows us to monitor upgrades and safely update the browser across the organisation" ....

So if you're using Edge you may not get the update straight away but will do in the coming days. If you don't want to wait you can download and run the offline installer at the bottom of this article;

https://www.neowin.net/news/microsof...line-installer

It works, I've tried it. Just be sure to download the 32 or 64 bit version, depending on your needs.
