Google is starting to give the runaround when trying to install extensions (Opera doesn't have) from their site with a re-direct to install Chrome, ha!

danielson, you still need to have the 'Install Chrome Extensions' extension installed and enabled to be able to install them from the Chrome Store;

https://addons.opera.com/en-gb/exten...me-extensions/

... if you don't have that installed you'll get the re-direct.

In the updated GX you now have the option to move the Gaming Corner to the sidebar. So it's not showing in the tabs all the time which, if you're not a gamer, is a good idea

Thought i had the Chrome Compatible Extension in, but with drifting from one browser to another, i may have set it in after...

Game in sidebar?
Whatever.
A notes in sidebar just like the ol' Opera 12, now that would be somethin'!

Opera GX updated to LVL1 (core:62.0.3331.96)

https://forums.opera.com/topic/33033...ate-released/2

As for Opera Stable, I'm not sure what's happening with it to be honest. The last version mentioned on their blog is 62.0.3331.66, which I posted here, but since then another version showed up on their ftp server which was listed as 62.0.3331.72. and that was on July 12 - no mention of it on the blog.

I decided to uninstall GX and and go back to the Stable version (yesterday) and that downloaded and installed as version 62.0.3331.78 and shows Opera Stable as up to date. Still no mention of that on their blog so who knows why that is - maybe holidays or something but it just seems odd.

Also, I downloaded the off line installer for the 64 bit version from their blog page and it installed as 32 bit. Weird. Maybe they've all gone bonkers in the heat

Sometimes, it takes time for them to release the new version for update. So, when you check first, it will still show the older version, and a while later, may show the latest version being available. I just checked, and it updated to the new version.

I have been using Opera for VPN, and I am pretty happy with it.
