Yes, updates for Opera taking a while to happen is something that happens frequently. Mine updated to .99 yesterday evening so two days later. Thing is though, I had a version of Stable installed (.78) that there is no mention of;

http://get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/

..... which is odd but not unheard of before with Opera and even though the browser is still good, there are bugs in the latest release.

I think they try to keep too many versions (for various platforms) up to date with too small a team now, or they're a bit stretched at holiday times.

Scroll to the bottom of this page;

http://get.geo.opera.com/ftp/pub/opera/desktop/

.... and you'll see that 3331.68 doesn't exist. There's no mention of that version on their blog either, at least not that I can see, so dunno how you ended up with that installed. Same as the version I had installed previously, 3331.78. No mention of that anywhere either, although it did auto-update to 3331.99 eventually.

They're messing with our heads

Funny... surfing with Opera on MX Linux for a Youtube and got this:

Why is Opera not on that list?
Could it be on account of who owns the browser?
No politics, but it kind of smells alot like it...

Doing your search on Windows, Opera isn't on my list either - nor is Cent or Yandex. But my search, along with Chrome and Firefox does list Edge, the new Chrome Edge and clicking the link takes you to the new Edge Beta download page.

No idea why that is. Marketing? Open source versus proprietary? Who knows? But doing the search in each of the browsers I've mentioned gives the same result - "Your browser is up to date, which means that you can use YouTube's latest features" ...

Things are getting weirder all the time!
Clicking on a show notes link from within a Youtube brought this "warning":

(was using Vivaldi this time).
