Opera 54.0.2952.71 Stable update;

When using the new settings page it's possible to set your added search engines as default search. But if you do that, each time you restart the browser the default search reverts to Google. It doesn't do that if you change your search to one of the pre-loaded default search engines, just the ones you add yourself.

I wish they'd sort it out. I've read posts from people requesting this also, just to give you the option like other browsers do. Opera's obsession with Google can sometimes be super annoying - like with the instant search feature. I understand the need to generate income, fine, but crikey, I wish they'd give people the choice.

Opera plans to add a cryptocurrency wallet to its desktop browser;

..... if they'd just let me add my own search as default I'd be happy.

Whatever a cryptocurrency wallet is, it'll be as much use as a plastic frying pan to me.
