Default ublock origin issue

Anyone facing issue with ublock origin and Firefox 55.0.3?

I noticed this today. ublock origin's icon has disappeared from Firefox, and the Options link for the add-on has disappeared too... although the add-on does seem to be installed. If I remove and install again, the icon appears and everything works fine, but when I start the browser again, the issue starts again.

Known issue with the current Release version of uBlock (though it may be triggered by an FF bug); uninstall the Current version, restart FF and install an older or newer version from uBlock's Github pages instead of AMO.

Thank you satrow .

There is a new release on github. I will install that and see how it goes.

I tried to install from github, but Firefox doesn't allow it, because it's not signed. I have installed AdBlock Plus for now.

When new version for ublock origin is available on Firefox add-on site, I will revert to that.

Don't know if it's related but I'm using uBlock O with FF on Android. Yesterday, I noticed that it was only doing its job erratically. Today, it's gone on strike completely. No amount of urging can get it to work.

This might be ongoing for some time.

Mozilla's AMO now insists on minimum FF version 56+, signed and verified, not so onerous for updating a fairly static Add-on but uBlockO goes through multiple patches per week... gorhill's released 3 versions inside the last 24 hours - for 4 different branches.

I just checked and ublock's new version 1.14.0 is now available on Firefox add-on site.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...ublock-origin/

Installed it, and now ublock origin seems to be working well.

And this version seems to be pure webextension now, and therefore, it doesn't have a Legacy marked against it. So, my first webextension in Firefox.

There's an alt. method to get the latest version before it's verified by AMO, same page as your link, scroll to the Development Channel drop-down and install it from there.
