SRWare Iron new version released

SRWare Iron version 3.0.197.0 is out. I am not able to find the release notes, or the changes in the new version. If anyone has the link, please post here.

I had the older version, but it used to crash whenever I wrote a letter starting with "r". Quite weird.. Anyone had similar problem?

Would like to see the list of changes in the new version.

Based on Chromium 3 you can download a new stable version of Iron. There are many new features like Theme-Support, a new flexbible "New Tab"-Page and a working and stable extension system. We also added a User-Agend Switcher to Iron, so you can change it without having trouble with parameters. To use another browserstring just create a textfile called "UA.ini" in the Iron-Directory and put your userstring in the first line. After restarting Iron your customized string is used! You can also get more infos in our forum.

Thanks aqua, I got the page from where you picked that up. But the version there was 3.0.179 instead of 3.0.197 which is the latest. There are many spelling mistakes too, and they are there on the forum too. They are not very careful with things I must say.

Looks like the new version is having problems with tab management, as seen from the forums.

yes is true,i saw that problem with on one of their pages,,but it hasn't been fixed yet.
i think this is one of the fastest browsers,,is really good, also applying fanboys list ad-blocker is easy.and works good.
the only downsize i found is ths ugly bokkmarks toolbar looks ugly.

Thanks for mentioning the new version. It's good that now the thumbnails in the new page can be pinned or re-odered, and a new theme can be selected and applied easily. :)

I used to enter some searches in the user-defined search boxes at the top-right panel in a new page. In this new version, looks like they are gone.:confused:

100% agreed. It has become my main browser (either chrome or iron) for browsing purpose and with fantastic speed. Firefox has become my backup should I need other features.

When the option "always show bookmarks bar" is ticked, the color will match with the theme, otherwise it only matches with the default theme IMO. Hopefully this can be improved.

bookmark bar should be on the same line that home, back, forward botton in vertical postion,
not under those bottons in horizontal position.

Yes, I agree with this. It just needs a button to access, do not need to take up another line.

Chrome or Iron just takes up two lines in a browsed page if bookmark toolbar is not shown. A good idea.

Further noted some detached bookmark toolbars match with their themes, but still do not look good.

Right-click bookmark

This idea -- Right-click bookmark icon (star) to access bookmarks list -- is pretty good for Iron or Chrome, but it's just a suggestion.
