Default Any New Up and Coming Mozilla Browsers???

Almost weekly you hear about another chrome type...not so much for Firefox..
I use Cyberfox but I think in last few builds a memory leak has surfaced...

So are there any new Firefox type browsers out there?

Why not use Firefox itself? Now they even have 64-bit version too.

Also look at Waterfox (64-bit only).

CLIQZ is a new Mozilla Firefox based browser. Privacy and search are its selling points;

https://cliqz.com/en/

Read more about it at Softpedia;

http://www.softpedia.com/get/Interne...rs/CLIQZ.shtml

I've not tried it, no time lately so don't know how good it is or if it's what you're looking for. They bought Ghostery recently and that's where I read about it.

Dunno if it's what you're after but if you're wanting to try a new Firefox based browser it might be worth a go.

I'll probably try it so thanks for the info.

Cliqz looks to be a useful variant than the others that focus primarily on speeding up or slimming down Firefox:
  • Focused on privacy and search. Available as separate plug-ins (Cliqz and Ghostery which they bought) so it's an easy way to test their utility.
  • Mozilla as an investor

If I want to keep using WOT, I might not be able to add it to Cliqz given their privacy focus.

Cliqz search optimisation could do with some improvement. it appears to use the Ecosia search engine (also based in Germany).

There's a bit more info about the search feature here;

https://techcrunch.com/2017/02/15/pr...-tracker-tool/

From the page: ... "while it’s been mostly focused on German-speaking markets to date, it’s actively stepping up efforts to grow beyond that — recently launching a beta version of its browser in France, and with designs on a US launch in the near future (it says it’s also added beta support for US-English for its quick-search feature)"

and ....

... "Of US-English quick-search results: The quality of the US search results will be satisfying at the start and with the help of Human Web quickly will improve to reach the same level as in German"
