Maxthon browser is not secure
 
Normally I don't open new threads, but MC asked me to do this so here it is:

I don't use Maxthon anymore but that's an interesting read. I looked on their forum and there are threads on the subject;

Damage limitation? ... difficult to determine who or what to believe I suppose. And are they doing anything different to other browsers or whatever, regarding data harvesting?

No point in skirting the facts, they're a Chinese company and, let's be honest, Chinese companies do have rather a tarnished image where software is concerned. This certainly isn't going to do their reputation much good. But here am I, happily using Windows 10, so ...... :)
