Snapshot 1.3.551.28 - Vivaldi 1.3RC1;

"Today's second snapshot is the first release candidate for Vivaldi version 1.3. Even if no major issues are found, Vivaldi will be rebuilt for the stable update before it is released" ....

Vivaldi 1.3 Stable is released;

"The most customizable browser is now the most colorful: Vivaldi version 1.3 debuts with custom themes, enhanced privacy and much more" ....

That's odd, i have 1.3.551.28

deya 11. Aug 2016 07:23 PM

Yes, you're using the latest snapshot then. The 1.3 Stable version is for people who only use the stable versions, and never install snapshots - if that makes sense? it all gets a little bit confusing at times :)

I'm too quick on the gun.

It's confusing, danielson. I post links to the individual blog posts for each release but if you look at the Vivaldi blog main page, here;

... you can see the two separate versions listed on the right - stable and latest snapshot. Kind of like Opera with stable and developer versions. So you're using the equivalent of Vivaldi developer :)

Snapshot 1.3.551.37 - 1.3 stable, minor update RC1;

"Today's snapshot is a test version of a small update for our 1.3 stable, to address some serious bugs that you have been reporting. If no (new) regressions are found we will rebuild it for the stable update channel and pass it on to our stable users shortly" .....

Snapshot 1.3.582.3 - Web Panel improvements and a new Snapshot logo;

"In today's snapshot we use a new version of our logo to help show the difference between snapshots and stable builds, added new options for web panels and per tab zoom as been set as the new default" ....

Do prefer test driving Vivaldi more than Opera.
Scrolling up/down pages with lots of graphics seems smoother and quicker than Slimjet.

Auto-upgrade not an issue anymore here.
