Nice!

Do prefer their download option to Vivaldi's (the later opens the sidebar, taking a huge space, which also remains open even after reloading the browser).

Yes, nice to see the new stuff in Opera stable. It'll be good for you when the extensions expander finally makes it to the stable release as well. It's still in the developer build at the moment.

I'm sorry, but if that happens, I'm switching to a different browser (again).

Jon had a recent video briefly alluding to that Opera change:

Personally, i try to encourage anything that is made in the country where i live.
But, if someone can make a better product... it is hard to refuse.

@ Ivtec .... just reading their latest blog post today, for the update on the developer channel, there's a paragraph with info for people running Opera on XP and Vista.

From the page;

"It has been announced on the Chrome Blog that Windows XP and Vista support is ending including security fixes. We do care for our loyal users, which you could recently observe with 12.18 security update. While Opera 36 will be last one with features additions on Windows XP and Vista, we are still going to provide security and crash fixes to XP and Vista platform. You will not be able to run Opera 37+ on Windows XP and Vista, we advise you update to more recent OS, if possible. Otherwise, we will have Opera 36 for you" .....
