I have been installing ublock from its own site, because it is not being updated on the Firefox add-ons quickly. Now I know why when I updated to a new version, I had two ublock add-ons in the browser. Had to uninstall both of them, clear the history etc, and then had to reinstall the new version.

As posted in the Vivaldi thread, but thought to post it here as well. If you're having an issue with Chrome disabling ÁBlock Origin there's information regarding it here;

.. and here;

Ok, so I just installed the latest version of Origin for Chrome - v0.9.8.3. There's a new setting now, which is enabled by default;

'Disable pre-fetching (to prevent any connection for blocked network requests)'

In the browser advanced settings the option to 'Predict network actions to improve page load performance' is disabled, with a pop-up box stating that 'This setting is controlled by ÁBlock Origin' and has a button to disable the action. It's explained properly, here;

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wi...ed-permissions

The new setting seems to annoy some users, an extension controlling browser privacy settings, and others see it as acceptable and are fine with it. Anyway, whatever your thoughts on it are, I just posted this in case anyone is having a problem with Origin in a Chrome browser and was puzzled as to why.
