Snapshot 1.0.303.40;
https://vivaldi.net/en-US/teamblog/6...t-improvements "We have another beta candidate with tab fixes and support for more import options" .... @ torres; not sure why it doesn't work for you, that's the way I did it and the extension installed as soon as I dropped the file into the extensions page. SurfEasy is working - I'm using it now. I'll re-install it and see what happens then post back here. Edit; Just reinstalled SurfEasy, no problems. Used the exact method as I described. Scratching my head a bit as to why it's not working for you. I've logged in to my account and enabled the extension. It's working perfect. Last edited by deya; 29. Oct 2015 at 07:06 PM. |

You mean highlight text then drag and drop it into notes? .... if so then you can do that. Highlight the text for your note, click the + symbol for new note then drag and drop the text into the note.
Is that what you mean? |

No. Actually i meant, to drag/drop the note from the sidebar into another app like Word etc. or even into a reply box like for this thread.
Btw, trying to import data on this latest beta contender makes Vivaldi crash all the time. |

Ah, sorry, misunderstood you there. Don't know if that's something they plan on adding.
Haven't tried importing anything so no crashes here. Did you try installing SurfEasy at all? ... if you did then did it work? Just for reference for torres? |

SurfEasy gave an error message when trying to install from Windows Explorer (download section) so i tried a second time via desktop and had no issues.
Thanks again deya! p.s. for some strange reason, importing data from Chrome worked this time (3rd or 4th try). In fact, bookmarks, passwords and history were imported in flash too! Last edited by danielson; 30. Oct 2015 at 02:03 AM. Reason: update |

https://vivaldi.net/en-US/teamblog/6...ing-on-restart "Beta Candidate fixing tabs unstacking on restart" ..... Good that you got SurfEasy installed. I downloaded the file to the desktop and installed it from there as well ... bit strange but maybe that's why it didn't work for torres. Might be worth a try. Still haven't imported anything here, just installed straight over the top. No problems. |

Vivaldi has been pretty good at notifying updates.
Just tried to import Firefox passwords and everything went smooth there too so i guess that the importing feature issues have been resolved. Hope torres can get it going. Don't know if install was just a hick for me (just like crashes for trying to import data) but it worked! Btw, i'm a fan of Cintanotes and in premium version it is simple to copy/paste with url and all in just a few clicks. It's the closest i can get to the old Opera 12 notes app (for now). |
