1.0.303.32 almost beta!

Tab preview is much more responsive on this version.

Blimey .... releasing updates on a Sunday.

Did a clean install with this version after messing it up changing stuff in flags, my fault. Just wish it'd let you export boookmarks to HTML and re-enable the other bookmarks manager. I saved a copy from when you could do that. Makes things a bit simpler.

It's looking good though, and I'm noticing it running lighter on memory. Still get a weird minimised/maximised kind of effect when starting the browser but sure they'll fix it.

Agree about the tab preview, very snappy now. Still a few little niggles but it's getting there. Looking forward to the Beta version.

Interview with Jon Von Tetzchner (podcast)

Thanks for the podcast link :)

Managed to get the SurfEasy extension installed from Opera add-ons, signed in and working, so that's a nice bonus. I think that this is the best version of Vivaldi so far. It's running really well.

You are quite welcome Deya!

Have one issue... would like Vivaldi to open without sidebar in last position at previous session.

Can i ask how you installed SurfEasy (probably should know by now)?

deya 27. Oct 2015 06:36 PM

For SurfEasy, go to the extension page;

Click the button, 'Add to Opera' ... in the box, click on the small writing 'get it anyway' ... save the file to your desktop or wherever.

Open Vivaldi extensions page and enable developer mode. Drag and drop the SurfEasy file into the page and it will install the extension. Sign in to SurfEasy via the extension icon.

You're on my friend, thank you!

deya 27. Oct 2015 11:27 PM

It's not a bad extension and if you use the 'rewards' via your account you can build it up to around 1 gig a month allowance for free, which is enough for me. I've not been using it long with Opera so thought to try it with Vivaldi.

It kind of makes up for the lack of turbo mode in Vivaldi, as a proxy for torrent sites which are blocked by ISP's here. I don't use them much but if you're paying for the internet then you want the internet, don't you? ... all of it, and not what they dictate you can have.

Nice that it works with Vivaldi.
