Having bookmarks on Yandex "tableau" makes it impossible to do a site search with a bookmarklet i've long used in Firefox (other browsers too) and even now with Google Chrome.

Did try to install this extension but Yandex won't let me:

Maybe because it's for Google Chrome developer builds? .... not sure.

Will this one not do the same?

I don't use them so not sure if it's what you're after. But I just tried it and works ok.

There's another, that lets you choose from four different search engines;

Dunno if that's any better for you.

Also came across this on Techcrunch;

http://techcrunch.com/2015/05/21/yan...alist-browser/

... which gives more insight into the different versions of the browser - the international and Russian versions. Probably explains maxfan's update issue.

Good find Deya, thank you!

While we're on a roll here... one thing i like about Firefox (and Opera before chromi-clone) is to assign hot-key to bookmarks, something that can be achieved in Google Chrome (and other similar) by creating new "search engines". Can't seem to do this with Yandex.

Maybe you'd find an extension for that in the Chrome Store. I use some keyboard shortcuts, but in Yandex they cannot be changed so you're stuck with what keys they assign to various tasks. Perhaps that will change in future.

You're stuck with those for now I'm afraid.

15.4.2272.3716 has tabs back over url box and can't seem to find an option for bottom position.
Transparency isn't there.

Did finally figure out how to add hotkey to specific urls.
Right-click to paste url as plain text in new search engine box etc.

Where did you get the update from? ... did it come via the auto updater?

Downloaded the file from their site just to check. Shows it as 2272.3649, which is what I already have installed.

Have you installed the 'old style' final version?

Ya, don't ask me how i did that!
Was testing Windows 10 Preview and probably installed "stable" version.
Why is number more recent than beta?
