Yandex has updated from v 16.2.0.2568 beta, to v 16.3.0.5003 beta;
https://browser.yandex.com The browser auto updated without problems. As far as I can tell, the beta version is the only version you can download from them - there is no final, like there was before. Could be wrong but it seems that way now. As always, I'll look through the Russian speaking sites and see if I can find out more and if I do I'll post it here - in English. Last edited by deya; 15. Ya. I heard about a recent update.
In between testing Vivaldi and Opera... Wonder what will happen to Yandex if Opera is bought out by Chinese? Anyway. I like the way you can slide the extensions part of the url bar. |

Well, it uses Opera Turbo and extensions so we'll have to wait and see, if and when the Opera buyout happens. I suppose they're paying to use Opera technology under license so maybe nothing will change in that regard.

Another update to 16.3.0.6712 beta.
Found this, but it's from a Russian speaking site so I translated it. --------------------------------------- New in version 16.3 Beta Added protected mode that turns on automatically when you open the pages of internet banking and payment systems. Protected mode disables all add-ons, in addition to only proven by Yandex password managers, and turns on strict mode validation of HTTPS certificates. Protected mode is only available in the new Calypso interface. -------------------------------------------- The option to switch to classic mode is now in the settings. I can never seem to find a changelog for Yandex so perhaps I'll email them and ask. I've sent bug reports to them and also emailed them and they do respond quickly and are helpful so if I find anything I'll post it here. This latest update has noticeably improved the browser start-up time. |

Hum, hum!
You might want to update that to 6739. They still haven't fixed that extension icon list doing their disappearing act in advanced mode. Classic mode is nice in Windows 10. This latest version doesn't feel as beta-ish as previous ones i've tried. |

When did you get the update to that version, today? Both mine are showing up to date at 6712. Hard to keep track of it at the moment, they're arriving daily. Is your version beta, or final? I'm assuming it's a beta the way you've worded your post.
Still never have enough extensions enabled to get the disappearing icons - but at least you can slide them to where you want them. Did you get a ticket number when you reported it before? Agreed about Classic mode in Win10, it's nice to be able to switch between the two UI's and change it when you feel like it and not lose settings or whatever. When I get the time this week I'm going to email them about the changelog, see what they say. Last couple of versions were a bit slow to load at start-up for me, but the version I have now is much quicker. It's improving, for sure. |

Downloaded it from their site just a bit before notification of your recent post.
I didn't get a ticket but i did get a reply from support stating that they were aware of the issue. Did notice that this issue has evolved into a minor one since the extension icon always show now after that initial "hovering" over icons. Btw, it is odd that they have a change-log for their Android app but none for their browser. |
