I don't think its more responsive, but the design looks like a tablet OS app, or Win8 Metro UI.

Maybe they should have Switch to Classic view.

No doubt they had a change of management. Keeping stuff the same as your predecessor shows he/she was as least as good as you, but changing stuff demonstrates your ability to "develop an individual identity and move forward".

Companies used to pay me stacks of dosh to spout this stuff at their employees for them to go away feeling motivated (at least this how I told them they would feel when I was touting for the business.)

I sometimes feel guilt about the world I have helped to create, but not for the money it paid me

I was always taught that if it works and people are used to it, don't change it.

Change for change sake is not GOOD MANAGEMENT, it may be noticeable, but not necessarily good.

Exclamation Problems with it

The new look is fine. It's more refreshed and offers different ways to navigate like latest downloads, hubs, trending downloads, and random software listed as you scroll down interrupted by links to news/blogs/hubs and other things that I could care less about. This would be fine if they hadn't moved the familiar and NECESSARY column of software categories, hide it behind a ribbon-type menu that is barely noticeable, and blow up a giant app search box that is totally useless!

Once I get to a category, I prefer the old listing structure. I do like the quick filters and sorting buttons on the new design, but still-- I'm VERY VERY annoyed as I scroll down to see "Essential Apps" and "Live Downloads & the country the user is in"!?! Does anyone care? Really? IT'S POINT??? Other than its a pretty sine curve that flows across the page when you press the next arrow!!

Looks like it's heading toward more commercialization pushing the paid SW or at least forcing the user to look at the ads considering the GIANT "Essential Software" full of trial software and 30% OFF, 50% OFF, 70% OFF!! when you just want to scroll through the programs without distraction

Users can switch to the classic layout from the top of the page now , using the slider

Seems like they read this thread?

The information about size, home page, etc was towards the bottom earlier, and now it is placed on top.. easily readable.

Looks better than before. All the relevant information is right in front of eyes, without having to scroll down or anything.
