I updated to Firefox 3.5.1 this morning. The Mozilla Firefox site now shows FF 3.5.1 for download. After the installation, I had to manually revert the settings back, which were done for the temporary fix.

Reading the release notes... tells that some other security issues were also addressed with this update. So, everyone is advised to update to Firefox 3.5.1 as soon as possible. Slow startup of Firefox 3.5.1 has also said to been addressed... lets see, if its working.

Thanks Anupam, I updated mine manually this morning too because still no sign of it being done automatically.

My slow start up issue still seems to be there when I first opened FF this morning

MC, explain please... are you talking about the temporary fix reverting back on its own, or other thing . If it is about the temporary fix... you will have to reverse it back manually.

About Firefox being slow, I had read... Firefox has tried to address and fix the slow startup problem with this update, but users who tested this update, had given a negative feedback.. that Firefox was still slow to startup. So maybe, this will be dealt with in the next update 3.5.2, which will be released towards july end.

Hi

No I was referring to the version number. I checked the update history again this morning and it was still empty so I just downloaded 3.5.1 and installed it over the top of 3.5. Then I reversed the temp fix.

Oh ok... you were talking about the automatic update. Well, the automatic update can take sometime to notify you, or update by itself. I am always ahead of it in manually downloading, and installing .
