Opera 27 released;

http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2015/...avigation-bar/

.... and, more interestingly, the new Vivaldi browser is released today. Only a Technical preview, so I won't provide a link. You can find one on the page I linked to, if you want to give it a whirl. I've installed it, it runs fine - so far. Vivaldi will be worth watching, it's the company founded by Jon von Tetzchner, the ex CEO of Opera Software.

I had just opened the forum main page to look for this thread to post on the new release. You posted first deya .

Anyways, since your post does not have what I was going to post, here it is. Yes, Opera 27 has been released, with the exact version being 27.0.1689.54.

Changelog: http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/unified/2700/

Kind of funny, to see the first and further comments about Vivaldi on the Opera blog, and several people showing a lot of interest in it. Must be quite difficult for Opera team to handle. Lot of comments were there about Vivaldi.

Checked out the Vivaldi site, and I must say, it looks very interesting.

deya, if you want, you can open a thread in the forum for Vivaldi. Those who want can try it out and discuss it. Forums are for discussing cutting edge technologies. Just make sure to stress that the browser is currently in technical preview... not even alpha or beta, so people should use it on their own risk, and is certainly not for general/novice users.

I am downloading Vivaldi, and will give it a whirl.

Be careful while installing Opera. Choose custom install, otherwise, Opera will set itself as the default browser, will import bookmarks from the current default browser, and will also send statistics data to Opera.

Also, by default, Opera too offers an online installer. Offline installer is available here:

http://www.opera.com/computer

Look for this below the Free download button:

Prefer to install Opera later? Download the offline package.

Opera 29 released;

http://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2015/...android-phone/

.. features tab synchronization with Opera for Android - which also has a new version;

http://blogs.opera.com/mobile/2015/0...a-for-android/

I installed the new Opera on Android and it broke. Wouldn't load, crashes. So had to uninstall it and try again. Worked on re-install but feels buggy. Just a word of caution, read the latest reviews on the Play Store. Lots having the same issues.

Should that be Opera 30 for Windows?

Anyway, the Vivaldi pressure has proven to be excellent to make Opera give that extra push at improving its Chromium based browser for sure!

Looking good Opera! (never thought i'd say that again).

Wish Vivaldi would change its horrible red V logo.
