I posted the picture for you to see that it works. Personally, I have never had to delete any Java file from the Windows folder in order to get rid of the Java plugin. In my two Windows 7 laptop, the plugin never got installed the first time I installed Firefox after uninstalling Java when I first installed Windows. The situation was different on my old XP but the end result is the same, no plugin and done as I suggested. I don't like plugins of any kind, I got to know.

Bo, sorry if it came across as if I was doubting you - I'm not. I'm just happy the Java issue is solved (fingers crossed) and I don't have to reinstall FF.

Not you, Joe. I am happy that your headaches with Java are over.

Enjoy your weekend.

Actually there is a companion extension to FEBE that does export/import your add-on preferences. It is called OPIE.

We request that developers always declare their connection with anything posted here. This provides clarity and also allows our members to ask questions and receive support about the product directly.

I was unaware of that policy and do apologize. I just didn't want to come across as "tooting my own horn" or as trying to blatantly advertise.

In the interest of full disclosure, I announce that I am the developer of the OPIE extension, as well as FEBE, CLEO and others. While I do offer my own support forum, I will gladly answers any questions here.
