Default Google to scan Chrome extensions, bans auto-install

Not sure whether this is a good or bad idea....Dodgy extensions will get past one way or the other....Having a generic popup saying "Another program on your computer added an extension..blah..blah..blah" will not work out.

Most users will just not care...Guess it's better than something.....If they really wanted to scare users, they should put up a huge red danger sign with "Warning! Installing this extension could cause a lot of damage" might work.

Not sure about the comparison to Vista either....The UAC, no matter how irritating it might be has improved a lot and is definitely a life saver (provided a person knows how to utilize it best). This is of course, my personal view only.
