Question (Free) Online Virus Scan

I'd like to find a free online virus scan service that detects & removes the baddies. I recall using Trend Housecall several years ago but don't believe it "removed" anything.

My AV is TREND Micro Security
- SAS
- MBAM

There are lots of them. I would suggest you do a Google search for "online virus scan" and you'll find several.

I have used TrendMicro HouseCall in the recent past with excellent results. You can try it out.

Another one that is recommended is Kaspersky Online Scanner.

Default Virus Total

You might want to try out Virus Total. It offers file upload as well as direct link scanning support. If the file has already been scanned then it allows you to see the results, if not then there is a short wait and it scans it for you with multiple anti-virus solutions.

Welcome to the forum Natrinicle. Thanks for the suggestion, but, VirusTotal does not offer scanning of the whole PC for infection. Only individual files uploaded to VirusTotal can be scanned for infection.

Whereas, this topic is about sites which offer a whole scan of the PC via online scan. So, VirusTotal does not fall in this category.

Here. Those marked with red spot don't remove what they find.

And there is also the BitDefender QuickScan add on for both Firefox and Chrome.
