Freeware portable ring tone maker

Hi all,

I recently just got a Bluetooth dongle and have paired it with my cell phone. The phone has bluetooth but other than that is fairly basic. I would like to send ring tones to it. Are there any good freeware (portable strongly preferred) apps out there? When I Google search I seem to get a lot of shady links.

Quite a number of software apps are able to make a ring tone. You might want to check out Best Free Software to Cut, Split or Merge Audio Files.
