Thumbs up Freeware security solution like Deepfreeze.

There should be a freeware version of this software.

Returnil for virtualizing system.

SandBoxie for isolating specific programs.

Wondershare Time Freeze Free - http://www.disk-utilities.com/time-freeze-free/

Here is the description: It puts the actual system under protection and creates a virtual environment for system partition, on which you run applications and surf the internet. All traces and malicious threats will disappear after reboot. You can also save changes to the actual system.

mjack, Time Freeze is a great find! It must be fairly new as I have not run across any references to it before.

Has anybody install Time Freeze? it seems, to me, nicer than Returnil if
it works well because its easier to keep changes. I also wonder if it slows
the PC and if it breaks System Restore like Returnil does on some systems.

Unless I missed something somewhere though, it's only a time trial - not freeware. $39 to buy.

The version 1.0 is free. You can download it from the link that mjack provided but you must write your email to get the key. From version 2.0 the software is now commercial. You can view the differences here:

I did download the free version a couple of months back but i've never used it
